Happy Anniversary to Robert's Reader!!
Robert's Reader's first post was published on this website a year ago this week. My first post was entitled Wisdom Unfolded: Lessons I Would Share with My 20-Year-Old Self. That first post was viewed by 45 friends. A special thanks to a few people - our daughter, Aria and my friend Joseph Thompson for helping set up this blogsite, and my wife and best friend, Celeste for proofreading and offering her advice on story ideas. Additionally, thanks to my brother Tag and our friend and neighbor John for consistently commenting on posts - the comments kept me going!
Since that first post on October 7th, 2025, there have been over 150 subsequent posts, and I've added over 100 new readers and a couple of hundred comments to various stories. Some stories were well received, and others were, well, like the dog in the picture above. A few series emerged as fan favorites - It's True (Trivia facts), Music Cover Party! (Music cover songs), The Farm (Series stories about a farm we owned in Quakertown) and a few that seemed to hit a nerve with people, (Near Death Experience, Adventures in Urban America, Sailboat Racing in Cape Town, South Africa, I Once Punched a Guy at a Grateful Dead Concert, A Tale of Two Underground Newspapers and a couple of posts about our son and daughter-in-law's move to Chicago to start Ali's plastic surgery residency).
I've tried to keep the posts "family friendly" and personal. I'm not a professional writer by any stretch of the imagination, but I find life fascinating and varied and there's always something fun or interesting to write about. There's usually five or six posts waiting in the queue to be published and I'm always open to new ideas for posts - feel free to send your ideas or even full submissions for posts to bobgehman@yahoo.com or robertsreader.com@yahoo.com. If you would like to submit a story for consideration, please let me know if you'd like to be credited for the story or submit it anonymously before it goes live.
The way the site is set up, you can scroll backwards to any post that you may have missed or thought you wanted to read later, but life got in the way. You can also continue to add comments at the end of any post if you'd like.

It seems to me that you ARE a professional writer, as I have enjoyed, have learned new subjects and technology, and genuinely enjoy your posts, with the only exception the ones involving the National Felons League, which just don't float my boat, however entertaining some might find them. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to the next post.

Enjoyed the many articles but The Farm had our attention. Probably because it was the most relatable to our 3 boys growing up in Warren County NJ. Any article on Classic Rock and unusual facts is a winner!
