• East Penn Township: The Liberty Song – Modern Arrangement, a message from “Benjamin Franklin to America in 2026,” and tributes to Northampton County’s historic role in the call for independence. • Nazareth Celebrates America 250 Community Festival: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. July 4. • New Hope and Lambertville celebration: July 3-5. Festival opens 1 p.m. Friday with children’s author Abigale Readlinger leading a discussion of The Young Federalists on the New Hope River Promenade. Professional actors in full period costume will portray figures of the Revolutionary era throughout the day. Roxey Ballet will perform NJ Ballad, a 30-minute recreation of Washington’s Crossing and the road to Trenton, at the Lambertville Station stage at 5 and 8:15 p.m. Music Mountain Theatre will perform “Stars and Stripes” between the two ballet shows. Fireworks and drone show over the Delaware River begins at 9 p.m. On Saturday, festivities begin at 2 p.m. with a ticketed Revolutionary Pub Crawl. A concert at the American Legion will be held 5-10 p.m. with the Sam Ryan Band, Forever Donna: The Ultimate Donna Summer Tribute, and ABBA tribute Dancing Dream. Sunday’s events include a Freedom Parade at 10 a.m. beginning at the American Legion in New Hope and ending at Lambertville Station; a Relentless Dragon Boat Race at 11:30 a.m. under the New Hope-Lambertville Bridge and a performance of “God Bless America” at noon, with singers from Bucks County Playhouse and Music Mountain Theatre performing simultaneously, across the river, while church bells ring in unison across both towns to mark America’s 250th. Stores and restaurants will offer discounts and specials all weekend. Most events are free; Saturday’s American Legion concert is $10. The pub crawl also has a separate fee.
