• Zebras and Tigers each have a unique stripe pattern - Much like a human fingerprint.

• Reindeer eyes change color throughout the year - In the winter, they turn blue to allow them to see better in low light.

• A chicken once survived two years after having his head cut off - Mike, the headless chicken, as he came to be known survived when the axe stroke missed his jugular vein and most of his brain stem. (Not sure how he ate, but whatever).

• Steve Buscemi was a New York firefighter prior to becoming an actor. After the 9-11 attacks, he worked 12-hour shifts to help rescue people from the rubble.

• During the 2025 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, Joey Chestnut won his 17th title by consuming 70.5 hotdogs in 10 minutes! This was an average of one hot dog, every 8.5 seconds.

• During WWII, so many NFL players were fighting in the war that the rival Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers temporarily teamed up to form the STEAGLES.

• The United States has come dangerously close to accidentally nuking itself. In 1961, two nuclear warheads were accidently dropped on the state of North Carolina when the plane that was carrying them came apart in midair. Fortunately, neither exploded.

• Hyperinflation in Zimbabwe got so bad in the early 2000s that 100 Trillion dollar bills were commonplace. The currency is now defunct, but you can still buy surviving bills online if you're looking for a souvenir.

• As recently as the eighteenth century, the average height of a human male was 5'6". Humans have gotten significantly taller over time - today the average male height is 5'10"

• The first bomb that the allies dropped on Germany during WWII killed an elephant. In fact, it killed several - the bomb fell on the Berlin Zoo and killed seven of the zoo's eight elephants. Sad but true.

• The can opener wasn't invented until nearly 50 years after the can.
